The premise

In 1985 Peggy Sue Bodell, separated from her high-school-sweetheart husband Charlie because of his infidelity, reluctantly goes to her 25th high school reunion with her daughter. She tells an old friend that, looking back, she would make different choices if she could go back in time. When she is crowned reunion queen she faints on stage. She wakes up in 1960, in her senior year of high school, at a school blood drive, with her 1985 adult mind in her teenage body. She now has to live that year again with her family and friends, and with teenage Charlie, knowing how their lives will turn out.[1][2][5]
